Fast, Accurate Identification
TacticID-1064 includes over 10,000 chemicals, explosives, narcotics and more. The expansive library of various chemical substances provides extra security for first responders encountering unknowns in the field. In the security environment today, first responders require as many possible identification results as possible not only to ensure their personal safety, but also the safety of the public. B&W Tek also offers library updates for new and emerging threats to all end users.
Easy-To-Read Results
TacticID-1064 provides color-coded result screens and safety information. Dangerous materials such as TATP, HTMD, ammonium nitrate, PETN, C4 and more clearly alert with a red warning screen providing immediate safety information. In addition, CAS number, chemical category and basic safety information is provided on screen.
Critical Component Mixtured ID
TacticID-1064 is able to identify components and threat level within a single mixed sample. Few unknowns found in the field are pure substances – the vast majority are mixtures. TacticID can identify threat substances even in a mixed sample, such as cocaine in inositol. The mixture result screen will default to the highest level threat within the sample – normally an inositol screen result would be green, but with amounts of cocaine detected, the screen will alarm with a red background.
Advanced Safety Features
TacticID-1064 includes numerous safety features to help enable first responder safety including scan delay, laser power adjustment and remote operation with TOS Remote™. Many samples found in the field can look quite similar – however, there is a critical difference for first responders between a white powder that is baking soda and a white powder that is TATP. TacticID-1064 safety features provide methods for safer, more secure sampling for all end users in various applications.
CommandCenter™ Interconnected Analysis Network
CommandCenter™ is a revolutionary new material identification network that enables a centralized lab to wirelessly and securely update handheld TacticID-1064 Raman units directly in the field with new library items. The CommandCenter model utilizes a seamless partnership between the lab and the users out in the field. Not only can data be sent from the lab to the field, but unknowns scanned in the field can also be sent wirelessly back to the lab for analysis. CommandCenter allows a group to have complete control over updating of libraries with authentic lab samples that are scanned in the lab, and can be sent not just to one, but to a full network of fielded TacticID-1064 units, ensuring library uniformity.
